If you are experiencing problems connecting, (may take several
calls) or problems keeping a connection it may be your modems firmware (Even
if you can connect with other ISP"s without any problems).
The modem firmware is what enables your modem to talk to our modems (All ISP's do
not use the same type of modems). Modem manufacturers are constantly upgrading their
firmware, but do not make announcements about it. If you still have your
documentation for your modem their should be either a phone number you can call for
support, or a web site URL where you go find out information about your modem (firmware
updates, general info, troubleshootings tips, ...etc). If you do not have your
documentation we have listed a few links below that may help you. If you click on the links
below they will take you to several different sites where you can choose your modem (make
& model) and upgrade your modem's firmware to the newest v.90 standard. If you
are not sure what type of modem you have or what version of firmware you have, please
click HERE for instructions on how to find out. If you
have questions about what v.90 is and what K56 Flex is, please click HERE.*
