Q:  How is Safe-t.net different from filtering programs that I can purchase and install myself?

A: There are several reasons that Safe-t.net is a better solution.  You can purchase filtering programs, but you have to keep them maintained and that can be costly.  There are thousands of pornographic sites that are added to the Internet daily.  You are unprotected from them if you have not updated your filter program.  At Safe-t.net, we maintain the filter for you, and it's updated daily. It cannot be turned off, or bypassed by a clever young person, or even a parent who might be tempted to turn off the password or work around the filter. With Safe-t.net you get fast Internet access, better service, AND the best filtering available anywhere for the same price you would normally pay for your average unfiltered service!  What a value!

Q: Can I install Safe-t.net on more than one computer?                        

A: Yes you can.   Keep in mind that you cannot use the service on two machines simultaneously for the price of one account.  When installing on another machine, always chose the option - "I already have an account", and enter the same username & password you were originally given when you signed up.

Q: Can I have Safe-t.net, and another service on my computer at the same time?

A: Yes, you can with most services.  If you do, it's best to use two different browsers (ex: Netscape & Internet Explorer).  Note that AOL & Compuserve do NOT work well with Safe-t.net, due to some of the Internet components they use. 

Q: Can I use Aol Instant Messenger or ICQ with Safe-t.net?

A: Yes you can use AOL Instant Messenger or ICQ with Safe-t.net.  AOL Instant Messenger is available for download are various sites on the internet and is not restricted to AOL customers.  ICQ is also available for download at various sites on the internet and both can be configured to work with Safe-t.net.
