Step 1: Double click on My Computer, located in the top-left corner of your desktop.

Step 2: Double click on Control Panels.

Step 3: Double click on Modems

Step 4: Select Dialing Properties

Step 5: Place a check mark in the box To Disable Call Waiting Dial:

Step 6: Click on the arrow on the right to get a pop-up window, and select *70,. NOTE: if there is no list when you click on the pop-up window, type in *70, and be sure to include the comma.

Step 7: Click Apply and OK on this window, and do the same for any other open windows. Your modem is now configured to disable Call Waiting when you connect to the Internet.
