Disable Call Waiting with Windows 95

Step 1: Double click on My Computer, located in the top-left corner of your desktop.

 

Step 2: Double click on Dial-Up Networking.

 

 

Step 3: Click once to select the icon that represents the ISP connection you use.(in this example it is My Connection, select the icon that is for your Internet Service Provider.)

 

Step 4: Right-Click on this icon, and then left-click once on Properties

 

Step 5: Click on the check box marked Use area code and dialing properties, and click OK.

 

Step 6: Double click on the same connection icon

 

Step 7: Click on the Dial Properties button.

 

Step 8: Click on the check box that says "This location uses call waiting. To disable it dial:" to select it.

 

Step 9: Click on the dropdown box to the right and choose *70,. NOTE: If there are no choices, you can type in *70,. Be sure to add the comma! Click OK to finish.

You have now configured your computer to automatically disable call waiting every time you log on to the Internet.
