Step 1: Go to the Start Menu to Settings to Control Panels to Network and Dial-up connections to My connections

Step 2: In the connect screen, click on Properties

Step 3: Put a checkmark in the Use Dialing Rules box

Step 4: Click on the Rules button

Step 5: Select a location (if more than one is shown) and click Edit.

Step 6: Click on the Disable Call Waiting check box.

Step 7: Click on the pull-down menu and select the entry *70, by clicking on it. Click Apply then click OK to finish.

Your modem is now configured to disable Call Waiting when you connect to the Internet
